Where did July go?!?!

When I logged on the other day and noticed my last post was in June I freaked out! Well not really, just couldn't believe I hadn't logged at least once to post a picture of something! I mean, I did have the whole month of July off from my preschool job! What was I doing? Well, taking it easy I guess, but we did actually do a few things in July :) Probably have more photos on my phone, but I'll get those posted in September ;)
Golfing... Joel and I got to go play when McKenna and Adelyn were "vacationing" at GrAnne and Grandad's house! He re-gripped my clubs for me but I still didn't shoot very well - tough course!
Gardening! We got 6 cantaloupes from the garden this year, and lots of cucumbers! Some of the cucumbers were a bit bitter, so I will have to study up and how to make them sweeter :) We got several green peppers, too, and a few more tomatoes :)
Lake time! My parents brought their boat up and we headed to Eagle Mountain Lake with my sister and her family! Papa and Kenna on the new water toy!
My sister "Auntie M" with Adelyn! Both the girls LOVED it! Makes me wish we had a boat, but I would hate the maintenance I'm sure!
More ladybugs! I'm a softie when it comes to the checkout line at Ace Hardware... if there's a package of live ladybugs I'm going to buy it! I feel so bad for the little guys... Kenna was much braver this time and actually let the little guys climb up her hands and arms! I hope they survive this heat and help with our fall garden (once we get it planted!).
Cousin time! For my birthday we ate at On the Border with my sister and her family, and we decided it would be a good photo op for the girls in their matching Aggie t-shirts sent by Aunt Allison - thanks girl!
And then there are the miscellanous projects and activities to get Kenna ready for Kindergarten! Here is the pillow I made for her "after lunch rest time"... they get 15 minutes to put their head down after lunch to rest, get calm, and get ready for the rest of their day! She picked out this lovely fleece pattern, and after mulitple calls to my mom (Dad even helped!) I got the sewing machine up and running and got the cover made! Basic pillow insert, and for 1/2 of what you would spend in store I have a happy girl, and we can make more pillow covers in the year to switch out... now I just have to follow through on making the small pillows for her two stuffed bears out of the leftover fabric! I pray to have time to do that this weekend since.... my new job started this week!

If you haven't heard yet I am going back to teaching... middle school! The Catholic Church we go to has a Pre-K to 8 program, and in the process of touring for Kenna to attend I found out their middle school math teacher was going on maternity leave, and the position was still open. A week later I had the job, and the rest is history! Started back to inservices this week, and school starts officially next week, so in a month I'm sure to have another post, "Where did August go?" :) Well hopefully I will get some pictures of Kenna's first day, or week or something (have to get some of her in uniform - too cute!) and get those posted, so maybe it won't be another month before I get another post up... Hope everyone had a wonderful summer, and keep us in your prayers for a good year! It's going to be crazy, but I'm excited.... :)
