More from my crafty kid...

If you could say that a 5 year old has a fetish, I would say Kenna does - for stuffies! The girl has more stuffed "things" than I probably know about, but has a personal inventory in her head, because she certainly knows when 1 is missing! She has handed along a few to Adelyn, but the all time favs she is not letting go of anytime soon... There are parties for them, school lessons, even crafts. Foam sticker fun the other day - she made a frame so I could take a picture of her with just a few... Bega bear, green hippo, white bear, and blue elephant (original names huh?) made it into this picture...

I will have to search for the picture of Adelyn under a pile of stuffies in Kenna's bed... it's like 'I Spy' with a kids head hidden in the middle... :)

So last weekend I felt crummy, AND Joel was out of town, AND the girls just wanted to make a mess all over the house, but I did contain them for awhile with playdoh... we LOVE playdoh! Kenna was so sweet, and kept bringing me "food" creations from playdoh, and I love that she brought me lots of cookies first, and then the sandwich! If you can't have dessert first with playdoh (or when you are sick) when can you? I know she would have cooked me real food too if I would have let her :)

Our check-up appointment post-surgery last summer (both girls had tonsils and adenoids removed - at the same time!)... They were in a great mood that afternoon, and nothing helps soak up waiting time at the doctors like taking funny pictures :)

Adelyn's first day on the running bike!

Please pardon the M&M bribing (she already got a few before I thought to record some of this!), but I think it worked pretty well to get Adelyn to at least try her running bike, and she loved it! O.k. this is one of the first videos I have taken with my new phone, and somehow the video is sideways (my m.o. I guess) even though I held the phone up straight!

So, I finally got her to sit on the seat more and just "run" with her feet... the girl has a need for speed, so I pushed a bit from behind and she loved the small downhill slope of the driveway for going a bit faster! Such a cool bike, and I hope we can get out more with this beautiful weather and really get her rolling :)

With the snow canceling school on Friday, we moved our Tea Party and Valentine's shows to Monday (yesterday) and it was a crazy but fun day! Both girls loved getting some treats from their friends and had fun matching in the dresses my mom got them! I missed getting pics in their classes, but just had to get a pic with all of us before the day was over. Hope everyone had a great Valentines and 3-day weekend (if you got one!)

And we ended the evening with some Wii fun! We found the running program and put the girls to it - still in their dresses (didn't want to take them off!) Even Adelyn made it all the way through several times... and got to chase the puppy! Kenna loved trying to pass the lead runner, until her Mii kept tripping over her own feet! Great game - I might have to try tonight!

I love that my girls LOVE their cousin Peyton, and we are just so glad that we live closer to them now! It has been fun getting together with them more often, and I hope they will continue to grow up close... Adelyn and Peyton are 6 months apart, so they are great playing together, and Kenna... well, she just wants to play mother to both, but it is good... :)

Pretending to be a dragon (thank you Ni Hao Kai Lan!) with the play tunnel. Of course Kenna got to be in the front, but Adelyn thought it was just hilarious to be running around behind her sister. And no, I'm not sure if Adelyn has any shorts on... I had probably sent her in to go to the potty, and then they come running out like this.... who knows! but they were having fun :)

I love taking my girls out to the lake with my parents, and they LOVE the water! I hope to get Kenna up on water skis pretty soon, but for now I just let them have fun watching and swimming. This trip was the day Joel pulled his hamstrings, so it is bitter sweet, but it was still such a great day, and I hope we make many more trips this summer!

First post from my new phone! (well maybe not)...

I am very excited to be able to take pictures and post right from my phone now! not very excited about the mess my girls seem to be making all around the house, but at least they are playing well together :) the latest tornado hit adelyn's room this morning!

UPDATE: Seems I have to get URL's for my photos first before posting them from my phone, so this may not be as easy at it seems... I like Photobucket, but to have to add one more step to my posting is not going to make it very convenient... I'll keep you posted!

i LOVE that Kenna likes to cook, especially with my mom! Snickerdoodle cookies are her favorite, but she also likes to help make chowder, wash the fruits and veggies for dinner, and one day she asked to make the PB&J sandwiches, and I though "why not"? :)

Sometimes it drives me crazy that Adelyn stops to play on every bike rack, parking lot bumper, or sidewalk that we come to, but if I just take a minute to watch her playing I catch some really cute pictures...

I love the ways my girls play together, usually! They do have their moments when they drive each other crazy (like north-north magnet ends meeting), but usually they are glued together and having fun! Adelyn's got a great big sister to look up to, but Kenna does really well helping out with Adelyn...
