Well the Easter bunny did things a little different this year! Each girl got to find eggs with letters on them that spelled out their name! And a 'J' for Jackson too... they had a blast! They kept trading letters and hiding them to make their own egg hunts - kept them busy for quite awhile!

Watching the Masters with Papa
As Joel posted on Facebook, this is the only way to watch the Masters! :)

And here we have Jackson's first official door sign! Kenna drew it for him to celebrate that he was 5 days old!

Must be a rough life...
Having to sleep all day, wake up to eat, then go back to sleep :) I will give thanks that he likes to sleep, although sometimes that makes the feeding a challenge! Due to some minor gas a reflux issues he is spending a lot of time propped in the swing (or on one of us) but we don't mind the extra cuddle time...

Heading home...
Can you ever get enough of sleeping baby pictures?

As I spent my first afternoon in peace at the hospital just snuggling with Jackson and waiting on my family to come back with food reinforcements I just played around with my decent camera phone and took lots of sleeping baby pictures... Hard to see the big bruise on the head, but I love the soft wisps of hair on his head and oh that baby neck! :)

Jackson Butler Smith is here!
Jackson Butler Smith
Wednesday, April 6th

7 lbs. 12 o.z.
19 3/4 in.
What a surprise 13 days early, but he is healthy and all went well. Such a proud Papa and big sisters! Came out with a goose-egg and big bruise on his forehead, but you can't even tell now...
We feel very blessed by this latest addition to our family, now the Smith Five!
Such a face!

The big, big sister :)

The 4 a.m. trek into the hospital! The girls were ready to go once we told them the baby was coming and were very tired but excited... They got to go back home and rest with Aunt Stephanie while the baby was born, but loved escorting Mama to the hospital :)

Kenna's sweet love note she left on the board in my room...

And they're off!
To their first ever Kids 1K!! Joel is taking the girls to a fundraiser run in McKinney today for an old co-worker of mine who died from lung cancer. Our friend's little boy just ran a race a few weeks ago in Austin, and when Kenna heard about it she quickly proclaimed she wanted to run a race! So since we already knew about this one Joel put it into plan to make the drive and take her... And Adelyn, not one to want to miss out on a 'big girl' event, said she wanted to go to. They both love to run on the Wii, but we will see how they do on a real run! It's only 0.6 miles, but I can't wait to hear what they think!!
