My little computer nut!

So Adelyn's new favorite activity is playing on the computer which has been great during all this bad weather! We got the girls their own basic desktop since kenna was wanting to play some games, but Adelyn has taken off with it as well.... she loves Kenna's Jump Start and they both LOVE I Spy... and we got them a typing game to work on keyboard skills. Crazy to think what this generation will do with computers!

Snow Day!!

So after 4 days off from school, we finally saw some sun and warm-enough temps to head outside and play! Just 6 days ago, last Saturday, Kenna was running around in shorts and a t-shirt, Joel took the girls and the dog to the dog park, and I was walking around barefoot outside.... Flash forward to Tuesday of this week, and our house hit an all time low of 61 degrees inside (my attempt to not drain the electrical circuit since there were rolling blackouts!) and we began our days of killing time inside since school was cancelled! The girls have been really good, and I have been getting some long-outstanding projects at least worked on a bit :)

And the girls have not begged me much to go outside and play in the snow (I guess they figure if the dog doesn't even want to go out to use the restroom maybe it is too cold!) - so today when the sun peeked through I busted out the almost-too-small-now snow gear and got everyone outside! I think it's good for the soul to have at least 1 good snow 'play day' a year... I just wish it hadn't come with all the ice for days before!

We have official roommates!

So since we are essentially in vacation mode (a 3rd day off from school tomorrow and possibly Friday too) we decided to throw in the towel and get the move-in done! The girls will be sharing a room with baby on the way, and although we think eventually we will do bunkbeds it will be nice to get them used to sharing a room... wish us luck! :)
