Adelyn turns 1!

So today was the big day, and although her "party" won't be for another few weeks when some family will be here, we had to have some cake - cupcakes that is! Enjoy the pics...

can almost park a car in the garage, have narrowed down school choices for Kenna for the fall to about 5 places, joined a mommy group to start making some friends, applied for a couple of part time jobs (probably will be Life Time fitness again!), found the local dog park 5 MINUTES from the house :), celebrated Adelyn's first birthday! (next post please...)

Recent artwork on the Doodle pad

Cleaning up Kenna's room this morning while she's at school, I came across a recent doodle and had to take a picture... funny to see how her "people" are progressing...

Here's a doodle from December 7th last year - I think she said

it was a picture of her, mostly because of the "bangs" - she was in the back of the car and kept asking me to check out her pictures (we were on a road trip), so some of the funniest i told her I would take pictures of...

Pardon the commentary - i have a tendency to get carried away, and catching this 'first' on camera was just too cool, so i was all excited! :)

The last month...

It has officially been over a month since my last post (sorry those of you who have been checking in!), so I thought I would just post what has been going on and some big news!

Joel and I went to see Dave Ramsey LIVE - we have been taking his classes and it was really cool too see him in person - very funny, and very motivational... Can't wait to scream "debt free!" on his show one day!

Kenna's class took their first "field trip" to Artworks - tons of craft stations set-up and they get to run around and make a mess - and we don't have to clean up! :) I'll post some pics of her artwork if i can remember...

So my little artist is also really into baking and cooking - one of her favorite shows is Rachael Ray's "30-minute meals" since it comes on during afternoon snack time and she can sit and watch the whole show! Emeril follows and sometimes we watch that too - BAM! On a recent trip to GrAnne's, kenna got to help make Snickerdoodle cookies! Funny thing is she likes to help make a lot of things (Jello, pudding, cookies) that you would think she would gobble up, since most of them are "treats", but the best thing she makes and eats is our family recipe for chowder! i'll have to get some pictures of that soon...

GrAnne also took kenna to Sweet Berry Farms for some strawberry picking (and ice cream eating!)

Not to leave Adelyn out,

she has really mastered crawling FAST,

pulls up everywhere, and stands a lot!

she's been walking with a scooter,

and tried some baby steps the other day... here's the

cutie...

And since you were so patient to sit through all that, now the news - we're moving! Joel's company is expanding and the Fort Worth offices are going to be "headquarters" so we are moving back to north Texas. We actually close on a house in North Richland Hills this week, and move in a few weeks! I hope that in all the craziness i can document some of the fun!
