When our peach tree started budding fruits a month ago, I had to break the bad news to the girls that we would still have to pull some of the fruits off this year so that the tree would continue to grow instead of just growing fruits. I didn't, however, clarify that we didn't have to pull them ALL off! So when I found them plucking the little fruits I was a little sad, until...
I noticed they missed one! Just one, and somehow it made it without being pecked at by the birds!
We pulled it a few days ago and hope it ripens a bit - Adelyn is SO excited that we grew a peach! Hopefully next year they will remember we don't have to pull them all...
