So it's official - I have a 1st grader! Yesterday was the last 1/2 day of school (thank goodness!) and I didn't get many pictures, but couldn't miss Kenna getting her award! She earned the SJS Eagle Award - only 1 kid per class gets the award! :) She was VERY surprised since her teacher told us last week not to tell her and in Kindergarten I don't think they even know they get awards...
Her very sweet teacher, Mrs. Smith! Kenna just loves her and says one of her favorite parts of kindergarten was giving her teacher gifts! :) Hmmm, this could break the bank if it continues to be her favorite thing... good thing teachers like homemade cards and artwork!!
I would like to say Kenna has grown so much since the fall, and in some ways she has, but I think she was very grown-up going into Kindergarten (she is the oldest in the class!). When I asked her last night what she thought about going into first grade she said "I already feel like a 1st grader!" I think she is most excited for Adelyn to get to be at the same school she is next year!
